My coaching philosophy centers on being a "dream supporter," not a "dream killer." The athlete is always the protagonist of their journey, and as their coach, I play a crucial supporting role — guiding, empowering, and inspiring them to achieve their dreams.
My own journey as a professional swimmer has been global, with training experiences across the United States, Germany, the Netherlands, Italy, France, Austria, Greece, and beyond. This rich international background has broadened my understanding of different cultures, training methods, and communication styles, which I now integrate into my coaching.
Drawing from the knowledge gained over years of swimming with elite coaches worldwide, I continue to stay connected with top coaches and athletes. I keep myself informed of the latest training techniques, data, and trends, which I incorporate into my coaching to ensure my athletes are always a step ahead. These opportunities stem from my relentless pursuit of excellence as an Olympic athlete and the incredible people Iʼve met along the way.
As a coach, I believe in identifying and nurturing each swimmerʼs individual strengths. I reject one-size-fits-all coaching and create personalized training plans tailored to each swimmerʼs unique abilities. Whether a swimmer excels in backstroke with minimal head movement or has a strong kick, I work closely with them to help unlock their full potential. Through continuous successes, we build confidence, resilience, and determination, pushing them to aim higher with every goal achieved.
I take a hands-on approach to coaching—one that goes beyond theory and focuses on real-world experience. Unlike many coaches who rely solely on classroom training or online resources, I believe in showing my athletes the path through my own demonstrated skills. Itʼs like being a travel guide whoʼs truly experienced the journey, not just researched it.
Inspired by Pep Guardiolaʼs coaching philosophy, I focus on creating personalized training plans that cater to each athleteʼs specific needs. While many coaches rely on outdated techniques and theoretical knowledge, I focus on hands-on learning, refining swimming techniques, and improving skills through individualized lessons. My approach includes specialized drills, such as the high-elbow stroke and stroke connection, along with heart rate training to enhance cardiovascular efficiency and lung capacity.
I coach a wide range of clients, from business executives passionate about ocean swimming and triathlons to junior swimmers. Each session is an opportunity to build a strong relationship, provide constructive feedback, and ensure my athletes stay motivated on their path to success. For junior swimmers, I emphasize nurturing their talent and providing parents with regular updates and advice on further development.
At the heart of my coaching philosophy is the belief that the athlete is the main character, and the coach is there to support and guide them. I prioritize the needs and interests of each swimmer, ensuring that my coaching is always centered around helping them achieve their goals.
Letʼs embark on this journey together—because with the right support, the sky is the limit.
